GC3 Programs

Here are some of the programs available at Grace Community Christian Church. Be sure to check our Calendar for upcoming events.



Children's Ministry
We take ministry to children very seriously here! Age-appropriate ministries for children range from nursery care to teens. A fully staffed Nursery is available during our 10:00 am worship service. Toddler Worship (2-5 years) also runs the entire hour. Junior Worship children (grades 1-5) stay with their families upstairs until just before the message, when they go downstairs for a special program geared to their age level.


CTeam
Our Worship Team is responsible for planning & executing our Sunday Morning worship services. Worship Team meets every Tuesday at 7:00 for prayer & practice. Currently we have several instruments in our celebration service- bass guitar, keyboard, drums, guitar, piano, but we're looking for more! Interested?!


Culture Watch
This group meets monthly in different homes to watch a contemporary or significant movie, & to discuss its themes & worldview afterwards. Movies both reflect & shape the culture, & therefore provide an excellent starting point for understanding both the culture we're trying to reach for Christ, as well what is influencing that culture. This is an open group, & non-church members or non-believers are encouraged to share in the spirited discussions that always follow! Some of the movies watched thus far are: Groundhog Day, The Cider House Rules, The Family Man, Chocolat, O Brother Where Art Thou, The Count of Monte Cristo, Changing Lanes, The Green Mile, The Matrix, Godsend, What Dreams May Come & High Crimes. Missions
This ministry is responsible for raising overall missions awareness within the congregation. They also select which ministries will receive support, & are presently revamping the entire process by which this is done. Our hope is in the near future to hold an annual "Faith Promise" weekend, from which our mission support will come, as well as to begin exploring & challenging church members to become involved in short term mission trips. Prayer Meeting
A rich & satisfying time of sharing with God & others. We meet the first & third Tuesdays of each month at 6:00 pm, usually for about an hour. In small groups, every person shares "What I want God to give me" & "What I want God to give this church." Then we lay hands on an empty chair & ask prayer for the people that God will be sending our way. This is a tremendous way to draw closer to God & to our brothers & sisters in Jesus. If you'd like to grow in your prayer life, this is a great place to begin!


Sunday Morning Worship Service
Our worship service begins at 10:00 am each Sunday morning. It is a blended service that leans more to the contemporary than to the traditional. We utilize electronic drums, bass & rythm guitars, & piano. We are asking God to send us saxophonists, drummers & other instrumentalists so that, in the spirit of Psalm 150, "everything that has breath" might praise Him! While we desire to be more upbeat & energetic in our worship, we are not what is traditionally known as "Charismatic" or "Pentecostal." Our dress is casual (& getting more casual all the time!) Check us out, & remember, worship is first & foremost a matter of grateful hearts recognizing their amazing Creator & Rescuer! No style of music can replace that essential element!

Youth Group/Bible Study
Who is Jesus? What does he mean to me? Come and discuss these and other issues with your peers at the home of Teresa Barker on Wednesday evenings.
