In Partnership with Lifeline Christian Mission GC3 Has Built a House like this for Claudia Deranzin
WE have built a house for Claudia Deranzin and her family in Haiti. In May 2012, because of GC3’s generous donations of $4000.00, a home of block was constructed to withstand hurricanes and earthquakes in the earthquake ravaged nation.
Claudia, now a teenager, grew up in Lifeline’s school. Her family lived by the beach in the area called Jeanty and Taino ( Jim & Kim have worshipped in the church at Jeanty). Claudia’s father was one of the vendors that Lifeline used to buy things from when they took teams to Taino Beach many years ago. The vendors became quite a nuisance and gave Lifeline’s teams no peace so certain vendors were chosen to “vend” (sell souvenirs). Claudia’s father was one of them.
In the late 1990’s there was a robbery of a Canadian family that lived at Taino. They were not there but their caretaker was robbed and murdered. Claudia’s father was accused of the murder. After many years he was exonerated and let out of prison, but by then the family had suffered immensely and had lost their home along with almost everything.
Claudia’s father died in the early 2000’s. Sponsored by a woman in Ohio, who could not afford to fund a house, she became like the persistent widow continually requesting that they be a recipient of a house. Lifeline granted their request. Now they reside in a home that GC3 built.
